6. Differentiate Between Needs and Wants

Focusing on wants VS needs can help you either save money or stretch your dollars between each paycheck. This is one of the more difficult changes you’re going to have to make, especially if you’re used to a certain lifestyle. But it’s definitely worth trying it out.

From now on before you make a purchase ask yourself if you need it or want it. Upgrading your TV even though your current one isn’t broken qualifies as a want, not a need. The same goes for new shoes. Are your current ones all worn out? If not, skip this season’s trendy new shoes and save the money instead.
