Arkansas

Arkansas is another state where retirees looking for affordable and safe communities can head to. The cost of living is generally cheap in the “Bear State” and there are plenty of retirement communities to choose from. In addition, the state has amazing places to visit, beautiful scenery to admire and numerous community events organized for retirees.

Some of the biggest benefits of retiring in Arkansas include:

  • Low cost of living
  • Consistently comfortable weather
  • Unique sites and landmarks, including the Old Mill, the Christ of the Ozarks and the Fayetteville Downtown Square
  • The nation’s largest municipal parks
  • Large number of retirement-age residents
