– Social Security is not taxed; up to $65,000 of retirement income for 65 and older and $35,000 for those 62-64 per person is exempt from taxes

– There’s no estate tax

– No fees for classes for credit or audit at any Georgia public college for seniors 62 and older

– Low-cost public transportation in Atlanta, Macon, and Savannah; paratransit and shuttle services provided in other areas

– Hunting or fishing licenses without any fees

– Discounted state park passes for residents 62 and older
