17. Buy Generic Products When Possible

There’s no reason for you to always reach for the name-brand products when you’re out shopping. In fact, with some name-brands, you’re just paying for clever marketing. The difference in quality between them and generic versions is typically nonexistent.

Consider trying out generic medication, cereal, seasonings and spices, diapers, and many, many others. You might even find a new favorite at a fraction of the cost, saving you hundreds of dollars per month that’ll keep adding up!
