Are You in Your 50s? Watch Out for These Common Financial Mistakes for Your Age Group

Not Reviewing and Updating Life Insurance Policies

If you, like most people, purchased life insurance in your 30s or 40s, then you have to evaluate it every few years. Because these often come with a 10, 15 or even 20-level time period, you might reach your 50s or even 60s with little protection- and this is when you really have to start thinking about your safety, as this is the period in life where you might bump into not-insignificant health problems.

So, set a date in your calendar for every few years where you sit back down and reevaluate your life insurance policy. You’d be surprised by how much things have changed even then. But imagine not doing so, and only finding out about certain aspects when you’re too old?

As you would with other policies, being diligent is key here!
