9 Ways to Shop at Costco Without a Membership

7. Receive Immunizations and Health Screenings

Staying current on vaccinations is a critical component of healthy aging. The Costco pharmacy administers a wide array of immunizations, including the seasonal flu shot, the updated COVID-19 booster, the Shingrix (shingles) vaccine, and pneumonia vaccines. Because the pharmacy is open to the public, these services are fully accessible to non-members.

Furthermore, the pharmacy often hosts free or low-cost health screening days, providing checks for osteoporosis, diabetes, and heart health. They can bill your Medicare Part B or Part D plan directly for covered vaccines. If a specific vaccine is not covered by your insurance, Costco’s cash price for administration is historically highly competitive compared to standalone neighborhood pharmacies.
