14. Working longer at a high-paying job can raise your benefits

It goes without saying that when you start a new job for a new company, your wages will probably be pretty low. That being said, you can also expect raises along the way.

It’s better to work for more than 35 years so that only those years with a higher income will count, as opposed to when you started off.
