We left the cherry on the top for the ending, of course. Rancho Palos Verdes is the number one most expensive destination for retirees, with the annual cost of living expenses reaching $150,584.18. In addition, in this area, you have to pay your taxes for your retirement income, and the median list price for a house is $1,367,961.50.
