To put things into perspective, the total annual living expenses in this destination are $113,151.39. Also, the average median home list price in this area is $756,307.69, which is pretty high, right?

Rancho Palos Verdes, California

We left the cherry on the top for the ending, of course. Rancho Palos Verdes is the number one most expensive destination for retirees, with the annual cost of living expenses reaching $150,584.18. In addition, in this area, you have to pay your taxes for your retirement income, and the median list price for a house is $1,367,961.50.
