30 Expensive Cities Retiree’s Will Want To Avoid

In Largo, Florida, you wouldn’t have to worry about taxes on retirement income or Social Security. The cost of living in this area is 13% lower than the national average, but the utility prices are 16 % higher than the national average. Plus, the median home list price increased in the last five years by 41.22%.

Apache Junction, Arizona

If you had plans to live near the famous Superstition Mountain near Apache Junction, Arizona, you’d want to reconsider. The increase in home prices in this area is so big, that it now ranks in the top 10 most expensive cities for retirement. In the last five years, there’s been a price increase of 31.82%.
