15 Best Retirement Cities With the Most Seniors

April 8, 2020 · Retirement Life

The Villages, Florida

If you’ve successfully guessed The Villages at the beginning of the article, give yourself a pat on the back!

The Villages is the fastest-growing metro area in the U.S., so it’s no small wonder that even seniors make up a staggering 56.6% of the population. How fast is it growing, you might ask? Well, based on 2018 census data, the Villages community has increased by 38% since 2010.

There’s a good reason for that too. City planning has been said to be perfect for those over the age of 55, for once. Also, you’ll find no shortage of activities here, with more than 2,500 locations for you to spend all your retirement at. It’s also known for some of the most beautiful neighbourhoods in Florida, giving the city a warm, homey feel. Plus, with so many town squares and gold courts peppered around, how could you not fall in love with this place?

There are currently 125,165 residents in The Villages, a number that is expected to grow. We think it’s time you pack your bags and join them, don’t you think?
