15 Best Retirement Cities With the Most Seniors

April 8, 2020 · Retirement Life

Sebastian, Vero Beach, Florida

The total population in Sebastian is 154,383, with seniors making up 31.8% of that. Florida is, after all, a popular tourist and retirement destination for seniors who prefer a warmer climate. That being said, Sebastian seems to be the polar opposite of what you’d expect from a Sunshine State city.

Sebastian’s small-town charm comes with pros and cons. Firstly, the cost of living here is 2% lower than the rest of the U.S., but you won’t find too much in terms of activities here. That’s why it might be a good place for seniors who want to relax, preferably on the beach, without worrying about their busy schedules.
