We Found The Best 20 Neighborhoods for Retirees

April 24, 2019 · Retirement Life

20. Rancho Charleston — Las Vegas

You might think, wrongfully so, that in a city as expensive as Las Vegas you wouldn’t find it on our list. But thanks to Rancho Charleston, seniors who want to move to this always bustling metropole can do exactly that without having to worry.

The reason? First off, the median listing price in Rancho Charleston is $289,900, $10,000 less than other areas in Las Vegas. So in terms of cost, it’s no wonder that the percentage of residents over the age of 65 is 13.9%. And with a livability score of 69, we think it’s bound to rise even further.

The area is safe, well lit, and residents claim to be able to go for nightly strolls if they so choose. It’s a dog-friendly neighborhood with everything from grocery stores to restaurants within walking distance.
