12 Best Countries To Live Perfectly Well on Social Security Alone

June 7, 2021 · Retirement Life

Spain

Spain is yet another important European country that has won a place on International Living’s list of best places to retire abroad. This sunny country has one of the lowest living costs in Western Europe, topped by high-quality living standards and healthcare services. In fact, Spain provides one of the best healthcare systems in the world, according to the World Health Organization.

Two people can enjoy a comfortable lifestyle on around $25,000 a year, even less in smaller towns. Add the great climate and the fact that there are numerous English-speaking expat communities, and you’ve got all the reasons to relocate to Spain for your retirement. Ole!
