12 Best Countries To Live Perfectly Well on Social Security Alone

June 7, 2021 · Retirement Life

Vietnam

According to the Global Retirement Index, Vietnam’s low cost of living is one of the reasons this Asian country is one of the most affordable places to live, and therefore, to spend your retirement years, in 2021.

It has one of the fastest-growing economies, with cities and infrastructure continuously developing. Quality healthcare services are also affordable, and people are more than welcoming. An American couple can enjoy a comfortable lifestyle for less than $1,500 a month even if they choose to live in more expensive cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

As if an affordable lifestyle is not one of the biggest perks of living in Vietnam, you should know you’ll have no problem getting around as more than half of Vietnam’s population can speak English.

I did not see the English speaking country of The Philippines on this list.
I believe that the islands of paradise beat most of the countries on this list, hands down.
