Top 20 Affordable Cities for Retirees in 2020

We’re circling back to texas, where seniors don’t have to worry about taxes on their Social security. But that’s obviously not the only reason we’ve added Lubbock to the list. Here attending adult daycare or renting a room in a semi-private nursing home will not make you weep over your bank accounts.

History buffs can visit several historic sites, such as the Cactus Theatre, the Canyon Lakes Archaeological District, the Carlock Building or the Fort Worth and Denver South Plains Railway Depot, to name a few.

And if you still can’t get enough, you have the annual 4th of July Broadway event to look forward to. This Independence Day festival is free to the public and includes a morning parade, a street fair along Broadway Avenue, and various food stalls and live bands.
