We Found The Best 20 Neighborhoods for Retirees

April 24, 2019 · Retirement Life

7. Loretto — Jacksonville, Fla.

Loretto seems to have it all for seniors. It’s no wonder since residents over the age of 65 make up 15% of the population. Thanks to low crime rates, local amenities, and amazing weather, this neighborhood has also received the second-highest livability score on our list, with 87.

In Jacksonville, you could find a home for an average of $210,000, but Loretto is great for those who don’t want to break the bank for a new home. In fact, the median listing price here is $185,000. Couple that with the area’s safety and you’ve got yourself a match made in heaven.

Furthermore, Loretto offers residents a dense suburban feel.
