17 Retirement Lies We Still Tell Ourselves

I’ll be able to retire when I reach retirement age

We tell ourselves this lie for two reasons. Some people just don’t know their real retirement age or rely on advice about when to retire. They might end up going over or under based on outside expectations of when to stop working. 

Others might extend their working years due to financial needs. The labor force in America has doubled since 1985 when it comes to retirement-aged individuals, after all.
