7. Independent Senior Living Apartments

If home maintenance is your primary frustration, independent senior living offers a streamlined, lock-and-leave lifestyle. These are apartment or condominium complexes restricted to older adults—usually 55 or 62 and older. Instead, they focus entirely on convenience and hospitality. Monthly rent typically covers utility bills, exterior maintenance, housekeeping, transportation services, and access to community amenities like fitness centers and dining rooms. It is a pure lifestyle choice for active seniors who want to eliminate the headaches of homeownership while surrounding themselves with peers.
