Melbourne, Florida

Melbourne is located in an area known as Florida’s Space Coast, where Kennedy Space Center can be found. Those who retire in Melbourne can enjoy a beach life for a reasonable cost. The median home price for those age 60 and older is $157,900. Melbourne is the type of easygoing metropolitan area that has serious small-town appeal.

No one hesitates to take advantage of Melbourne’s beaches! Plus, there are plenty of outdoor activities that can be done, from hiking opportunities to golfing on public courses! Not to mention that, in Florida, there’s no state income tax, and the sales tax is lower than the average.
