15 Best Retirement Cities With the Most Seniors

April 8, 2020 · Retirement Life

Brookings, Oregon

While there are many seniors currently living in Brookings, 33.1% of the population, you might want to rethink this move if your finances aren’t perfectly in order. After all, the median home price is $348,000, with the cost of living being 5.8% higher than the rest of the U.S.

Still, this might be a great destination for retirees who are interested in not only being part of a large community of people in their same age group but who also prefer milder climates. Brookings is also known for being relatively sunny while the surrounding area is often expected to be cloudy and foggy.

The coastal community currently has 19,764 residents. We’re just surprised more people don’t live here, especially considering how stunning and cosy the city looks.
