4. States with the Highest Proportion of Seniors

According to the 2010 census, it seems that Florida has the highest proportion of seniors. They make up 17.3% of the population. But that’s not too surprising, is it? After all, it’s a well-known retirement destination that frequently makes top ten lists of the best places to settle down during your golden years.

But did you know that West Virginia has the second-highest proportion? That’s right. Seniors here make up 15.4% of the population, followed by Pennsylvania 16%.

With that being said, where do you plan on moving during retirement? Is it one of these three states?
