Consider transportation costs

Another thing you should consider in your search for the perfect retirement home, is how far you’ll be living from your family and friends. You will surely have to make some visits, so, don’t forget to factor in the transportation costs for such activities. Being 1000 miles away from your children or grandchildren may not come cheap.

Just make sure you have assessed your budget properly and have enough money to visit everyone as often as you want, without letting money get in the way of your family reunion.
