Hawaii

Though 20.1% of seniors are still working in Hawaii (56,000), the state seems to be doing considerably well in other areas of interest for this age group. For example, the obesity rate here is fairly low, and there are an abundant number of nursing homes reviewed at 4 and 5 stars, not to mention a low early death rate.
That being said, 9.3% of seniors still live in poverty, and 9.6% worry about where their next meals are going to come from.
