Lake Havasu, Kingman, Arizona
When you hear Lake Havasu, you’re probably thinking about spring break. And we’re right there with you. This area is very popular for younger folk who are looking for a break from their studies in a warm, sunny climate. However, the 29.7% of seniors living here will tell you that’s not all you’ll find here.
Turns out the older generation also likes getting sunkissed 300 days out of the year while enjoying boating, biking, hiking, fishing and golfing in this community of over 207,200 people. There are two downsides, however, depending on your list of likes and your retirement resources. The cost of living in Lake Havasu is 2.7% higher than the national average, for one. Secondly, there doesn’t seem to be a ton of cultural resources around.
