15 Best Retirement Cities With the Most Seniors

April 8, 2020 · Retirement Life

North Port, Sarasota, Bradenton, Florida

Located just south of Tampa, this three-city region is a haven for seniors who like spending their days either on downtown strolls or on the golf course. In fact, elders over the age of 65 make up 31.9% of the population, which totals to 804,690.

But while the area is fantastic for a relaxing retirement, it comes with a bigger price tag too. The cost of living here is 3.5% higher than the national average, largely due to the fact that the three cities have seen a 10.6% increase in population since 2010.
