Those who want to avoid expensive cities don’t ever look towards San Diego, Los Angeles or other places surrounding them. It’s a well-known fact that sky-high prices turn a lot of seniors away from the San Francisco Bay Area.
Research on Chula Vista shows that this city has a livability score of 70, which might make it seem like a viable candidate for retirement. That is of course until you take a closer look at the housing prices.
Here, the average home sells for around half a million dollars. So, thanks but no thanks! Just think of all the other things you could be spending that sort of money on. And something tells us maintenance costs in a place like this aren’t cheap either.

I can tell you first hand,Don’t move to Calif!!! I lived in Calif most of my life and in a couple months am going to retire and get out of Calif..too expensive,everything is taxed and housing prices are terrible.
