Avoid These 20 Cities If You Want a Worry-Free Retirement

17. Long Beach, California

When it comes to pricing, even so much as considering Long Beach as a good place to relocate is not worth the effort. Here, you’ll likely spend a whopping $600,000 on a house alone. And let’s not forget about the state sales tax rate, which sits at about 7.25%.

And the assumption that once you’ve paid for your home you’ll be free to move around and have some fun in Long Beach is way off the mark. High costs in this region are the norm. Before you know it, you’ll have spent most of your savings on just the basic necessities and entertainment, if you’re lucky. You could certainly stretch your dollars in other equally beautiful cities across the United States.

You won’t be going HO HO HO if you move to the next place…..
