This West Coast port city is the busiest in the San Francisco Bay, which may explain why living costs are so high. But remember, you don’t have to spend all your hard-earned money to live in a city with a mild, Mediterranean climate.
While retirees might have their reasons for wanting to move here, we think it’s time to cross Oakland off your list and look for more affordable alternatives with a similar climate.

I can tell you first hand,Don’t move to Calif!!! I lived in Calif most of my life and in a couple months am going to retire and get out of Calif..too expensive,everything is taxed and housing prices are terrible.
