Should I be worried about taxes on life insurance payouts?

If your spouse passes away and you get a big life insurance payout, then you do not have to worry about paying taxes on that money.

Luckily, Uncle Sam realizes that you’re going through a difficult time and grieving. That’s why you don’t have to pay taxes on the money you receive. Rest assured that after your loved one’s death you don’t have to think about the added stress of taxes.
