Social Security could be (partially) privatized

A privatized Social Security program has its pros and cons, depending on who you ask. In the past, President Trump pitched a plan for the partial privatization of Social Security. The partial privatization would give future retirees a better control of their benefits and allow them to decide how to invest some of those benefits to grow them at a faster pace than the federal government. The plan seems to have been put on hold but who knows what will happen if Trump gets reelected.
