28 Ways to Make Early Retirement Work for You

May 1, 2021 · Retirement Life

Early retirement is on the mild of many retirees- and why wouldn’t it be? Who doesn’t dream of quitting work and focusing on what they love most, be it family, hobbies, finally settling down or travelling the world?

There are many reasons as to why seniors would like to retire early, but that doesn’t mean there are any shortcuts. So are we saying that retiring early is impossible? No, we’re simply saying that it requires a lot of work.

But what does retiring early mean, anyway? For some, it means retiring as early as their 50s, even 40s- in some cases even earlier than that, but for the majority of us, that’s impossible. For others, it means being able to retire at 62! Why? Because, on average, college-educated men actually retire at 65.7 while college-educated women retire at 62.8. So, in this case, ‘early’ would simply mean before then!

It’s all relative, of course. If you had initially planned to retire at 70, then an early retirement for you could mean leaving the workforce at 65.

But regardless of exactly when this will happen, we’ve prepared a list of tips and tricks that will help you achieve those goals. Again, it’s not impossible, but it takes work, focus, and dedication- something we know all our readers have.

So, let’s go over them together!
