23. Always Make a Shopping List

Making a shopping list is very different from having a small plan when going grocery shopping. If you leave the house thinking you need some meat, maybe some snacks, veggies and fruit then you’re giving yourself the possibility of buying a lot of items from each category when you only need one or two!

Shopping lists will help you avoid any unnecessary purchases and there’s science out there to back that claim up! According to a survey by NPD, 72% of Americans never or only occasionally buy items that aren’t on their lists if they go shopping with a list!
