Perhaps one of the best features of in-home virtual assistants, according to many seniors, is the home security one. Echo, Google Home, and Cortana Invoke and similar devices can connect to motion sensors, video doorbells, flood detectors, security cameras and the like and help seniors feel safer in their homes.

Did you forget to lock your door? No worries. The virtual assistant can remind you to lock it or alert you if there’s any unusual activity outside your door.
