Since Montana isn’t the friendliest state when it comes to finances, you might be wondering why it even made it on our list. Though you’ll be paying more to live here, you’ll also have the great opportunity of settling down in the second state in the country ranked according to culture!

You’ll simply never grow bored in Montana and if you’re a nature lover to boot, you simply won’t have time for all your activities. Also, 18% of the population is ages 65+, one of the highest rates in the country, so you know this is a magnet for retirees such as yourself.
