Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are two perfect cities to settle down for those who enjoy exploring restaurants, concert venues, theatres and museums. You simply won’t get bored here. And don’t let the missing backdrop of mountains or beaches fool you. Iowa still has hiking trails, nature parks, lakes and rivers for you to explore.

But let’s talk costs because it’s important that you’ll have the money to do everything you’ve set out to do after settling down. The cost of living in Iowa is lower than the national average so it’s no wonder seniors chose this state to spend their money on a multitude of retirement activities.
