Take Advantage of Your Employer Match

Ignoring a 401(k) is the same as ignoring free money. Just think about it. If your employer called you right now and told you they’re going to give you money, for free, would you turn it down?

By contributing to your 401(k), you’ll take advantage of your company’s match. Since pensions are a thing of the past for most Americans, this is the next best course of action. All that money will greatly improve your quality of life once you decide to exit the workforce, and you’ll thank yourself for every penny saved and earned through the program.
