Don’t Overtrade

Your 401(k) is not a game. This money will likely make out the bulk of your retirement funds. As you age, you will be far more susceptible to risks of all kinds, so it’s best to have your finances in order. Now, you wouldn’t want to play with your own safety, financial or otherwise, would you?

So don’t overtrade! You might miss out on big days if you don’t time the market, no matter how hard you try. Plus, you’ll be saying goodbye to your risk tolerance and objectives, so don’t fall into this trap.

If you shouldn’t play with your other investment accounts, why would you play with your 401(k)?
