6 States That Are Perfect for Healthy and Active Seniors

October 12, 2020 · Retirement Life

1. Hawaii

Finally, the best state for retirees in terms of health care in Hawaii. In the Aloha State, only 19.8% of Hawaiian seniors are obese. Nursing homes here are also the best in the country so you’ll know you’ll be well looked after as you grow older.

You’ll also notice folks here also love to smile- no wonder since 80% can show off perfect dentures since they get regular dental visits.

Of course, no place is perfect, but efforts are made to fix some of the state’s less than thrilling percentages. For example, hospital improvements are needed since 24.1% of seniors admitted die there. Sadly, they’re also worse in the nation when it comes to prescription drug coverage which is only at 84%.
