  • Travel senior discounts – There are some museums, parks and historical sites that will always take care of these things and will offer special and advantageous deals to senior tourists. When you visit a specific location, make sure you have your ID card with you! While it’s not 100% sure you’re gonna be asked to show proof, you have to be prepared for it.
  • Cell phone senior discounts – If you want to purchase a new cell phone, make sure you check those seniors plans first. Here are a couple of senior discounts you might get: AT&T gives a Senior Nation plan for those who are 65 and older, Consumer Cellular has a 5% discount on monthly fees for AARP members, and Sprint has an Unlimited 55+ plan in store for seniors.
  • Health senior discounts – First, you need to get a good understanding on what you’re spending when it comes to health expenses. Then, you start looking for ways to save on each of them. Look for these prescription drug and health care retiree discounts: AARP prescription savings, LensCrafters, Rite Aid, and Walgreens.
  • Cruise senior discounts – Before you start packing your suitcase, make sure you first reach out to the cruise line to see if there are any discounts in store for you. For example, Carnival offers cruises for seniors at a lower rate, depending on the time and destination. Also, Grand European Travel also gives AARP members the chance to save up to $100 per person on river cruises.
