Watch Out for High Fees

Should you invest in mutual funds, one thing to keep in mind is the possibility of having to pay high fees. For example, with fees and expenses of 1.5%, your account balance will decrease by 28% in retirement compared to only 0.5%, as calculated by the U.S. Department of Labor. Pay attention to what savings options have to offer in terms of fees because many of them usually vary, such as the investments offered in your 401(k).
