Money doesn’t buy happiness

We’ve all heard this on numerous occasions. Sure, happiness is an emotional state that comes from within, not from purchasing material things. Just look at how many rich people get depressed.

But money can perhaps buy some happiness… especially when it comes to low- and middle-income people. According to a study conducted by researchers at Princeton University, when people make more money, they improve their outlook on life. More than that, a higher income was found to boost emotional well-being and improve the quality of everyday life.

So, while we should not completely rely on money bringing us happiness, we cannot deny the fact that it makes life easier. The secret is to find a balance between making money and creating a happy life for yourself.
