20 Amazing Ways to Live Life to The Fullest When You Retire

February 13, 2020 · Retirement Life

7. Make a New Friend

Here’s a downside of retirement that not many people seem to acknowledge- once we leave the workforce it’s likely that we’ll lose contact with a lot of our work buddies. However, it’s important not to get discouraged by this! Instead of focusing on the negative, it’s time to turn things around and look for the positive.

Meeting people the old fashioned way is still a great idea. You should try to gain enough courage to simply speak to someone new. After all, holding back never really helped anyone, ever, right? So don’t fall back on any sort of anxiety and put yourself out there. Start up a conversation, give a compliment, ask a question. You never know where your next friend will come from. Like they say ‘A stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet’.

What better way to look after your heart, soul, self-confidence and stress levels?
