That’s because Social Security would never request anything from you this way…and the cost of falling for a Social Security scam is quite big and generally in the thousands of dollars.”

So, if you’ve ever received such a strange request, rest assured that it was just a scam! Why would such a big institution like the Social Security Administration EVER want your gift cards or a cryptocurrency transfer? The answer comes naturally – they would never ask for something like that.
