18. Turn Down Your Air Conditioner

Some people might find this tip hard to follow, especially during the summer months, but if you want to save money you should turn down your air conditioner. Keeping the temperature in your home at 78 degrees has been proven to help a lot of households save money. On the other hand, going for anything cooler than that could increase your bill by 8%!

We know, it’s difficult to adjust to suffocating temperatures, but that doesn’t mean your house has to be freezing cold. If you’re serious about saving money, you’ll try this out and keep an eye out on your bills. You’ll be surprised by how much money you’ll be saving as the warm months go by.
