Tracking your spending might seem like a waste of time. Some might even start off strong but then they allow their tracking to taper off, but the trick is to stick with it until it becomes part of your daily routine. That way, you’ll be able to look back and spot unnecessary expenses that you’ll later avoid with more ease.

Luckily, there are plenty of apps nowadays that can help you out. For some, you might need to manually add each item to a list. Others allow you to scan your purchases or receipts. Whichever one you pick, make sure to turn notifications on so the app will remind you to continue tracking!
