13. TV Watching Becomes More Common
Earlier we mentioned how seniors spend a lot of time watching movies, but going to the cinema is not their only pass time. In 2017 Bureau of Labor Statistics’ American Time Use Survey released their findings on how much time retirees spend in front of the TV.
Those aged 65 or older watch more television than any other age group- four hours per day compared to those between the ages of 15 and 44. This could be because seniors are more used to getting their news and entertainment this way while younger generations tend to use other means.
