11. Retirees Think They’ll Live Longer
Retirement is just another part of getting older and one day, we all have to face the fact that we won’t be around for much longer. However, 21% of baby boomers believe they’ll live between 90 and 99 while 10% thought they’d reach the age of 100, according to a survey lead by the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies.
This could be for several reasons. Elders are more aware of the fact that their health will become more fragile as time goes by, so they take better care of themselves through exercise and dieting. Medicine has also come a very long way, offering us the ability to push the limits of the human body ever further.
