10. Most Haven’t Budgeted For Trips
Okay, we admit. You may not have found the previous point so surprising. But maybe this next one will put it into perspective.
As it turns out, people over the age of 50 that took part in a Merril Lynch study claimed they never budgeted for travel when saving for retirement. 50% of seniors also said they haven’t planned and traveling for the year ahead, in contrast to the 10% who have done so extensively.
It just goes to show that retirees are capable of traveling for fun without paying an arm and a leg. Plus, most vacations don’t have to cost a lot depending on when and where you travel.
