5 Pros & Cons for Claiming Social Security Early

3. You’re in Good Health

Earlier we’ve mentioned how it’s smart to claim benefits early if you’re not in good health. Naturally, if your health is good and you’re expected to live a long and happy life, you should wait until you’re 70 for your Social Security checks.

Waiting until then will guarantee an 8% increase per year. Just think of all the things you could do with the extra cash. If you’re an active person you could put it towards more activities to ensure your health stays the same!

Not only that but, presumably, you’ll also live longer. So the added income will last as well.
