Some families help their children with college, some don’t. If you’ve decided to give your children a hand then it’s a good idea to pause your retirement savings, especially if we’re talking about unmatched contributions.

Remember, you’ll be helping your children stay away from huge amounts of debt. This does not guarantee that they’ll be able to help you financially as you grow older, nor should you expect it, but despite all that, families should stick together, right?

And that marks the end of our list. We hope we’ve answered some questions about your retirement savings. We also hope we’ve managed to alleviate some of the guilt you might feel from wanting to pause your savings.
